Vital topics that will benefit plant designers and operators to achieve optimum pumping solutions in water and wastewater applications. With KSBs vast experience in this field, comprehensive research was conducted at Technical University of Berlin in Germany to establish guidelines on several aspects of pump station design and piping works. These guidelines will serve to equip the participants with good engineering practices and provide recommendations for building new pump stations or refurbishing the existing structures.

The BCA Construction Excellence Awards (CEA) accord recognition to construction projects that have demonstrated the highest standards of construction excellence in Singapore.The nomination for Construction Excellence Awards 2019 (CEA 2019) is now open until 31 Oct 2018.

The new 43km Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) is part of Singapore Land Transport Authority's (LTA) vision to double the length of the island's railways system by 2030. The project will be opened in five phases from 2019 to 2024. The TEL will be completely underground, comprising of 31 stations connecting Gardens by the Bay in central Singapore with Woodlands in the north and Bedok in the east. The TEL will interchange with five existing metro lines at seven stations strategically located to help alleviate crowding. One of the key challenges with the project is that the Marina Bay area, through which the line will pass, is already densely populated with two pre-existing railway lines, the North-South Line and Circle Line, already in place.
