On behalf of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and the Singapore Management University (SMU), we invite you to join us to celebrate the graduation of the 6th cohort of the BCA-SMU-WDA Advanced Management Programme (AMP) on Productivity and Leadership Development.The BCA-SMU-WDA AMP on Productivity and Leadership Development is a flagship programme launched in 2008 tailored for the built environment industry, to develop the participants with broader strategic vision to address growing business complexities and increased competition. Ultimately, the knowledge will help achieve greater organisational excellence in the long run. To-date, more than 115 industry professionals have attended this programme, and many of them have since assumed higher leadership roles in their organisations. Besides celebrating the achievement of the graduands, there will also be a panel discussion with leading experts providing insights into the importance of embracing technologies and engaging people to improve organisational performance. REDAS will be organizing the Property Market Update Seminar 2016 on 12 July 2016. The seminar features engaging presentations by 8 leading economist and prominent industry experts who will share their insights on the economic outlook and its impact on the property market as well as the latest industry update for the different sectors. There is also a lunch talk regarding Myanmar real estate.

Architectural and engineering entrants in our local construction industry are required to be familiarised with basic knowledge on requirements and responsibilities under the Building Control Act and Regulations.This course aims to familiarise participants with the various requirements, provisions,processes and procedures involved in the planning, design, construction and implementation of a building development under the Building Control Act and Regulations, so as to facilitate smooth and efficient submissions by the industry.

Seminar on Singapore Standard for Specification for Steel for the Reinforcement of Concrete - Weldable, Reinforcing Steel Bar, Coil and Decoiled Product (SS 560 : 2016)

This short course, which is based on Singapore Standard SS EN 1993-1-8:2010, SS EN 1993-1-9:2010 and SS EN 1993-1-10:2010, Eurocode 3: Design of Steel Structures Part 1-8: Joints, Part 1-9: Fatigue and Part 1-10: Material toughness and through-thickness properties, respectively, is to provide participants the relevant technical background with worked examples to understand better the design resistance, fatigue and fracture assessment of circular and rectangular hollow section tubular joints under various load combinations. The strength integrity assessment of the cracked joints based on fracture mechanics approach is also presented. It covers the procedures of assessing the fracture and residual strength of circular hollow section (CHS) and rectangular hollow section (RHS) joints containing cracks using standards not covered in SS EN 1993-1-10:2010. The BCA-SMU-WDA Advanced Management Programme on Productivity and Leadership Development is a flagship programme tailored for the built environment industry. While it facilitates an understanding of the complex market and process-oriented issues that drives the industry, the programme also prepares senior executives to be dynamic leaders; building sustainable competitive advantages of individual firms along the value chain of the built environment industry. To further enhance each module, insights are shared by industry leader firms through industry-specific case-studies. Designed and facilitated by the Singapore Management University (SMU), this programme aims to elevate the way leaders manage performance excellence, business transformation and organisational growth to deliver a quality and sustainable built environment.
