BCA strongly encourages the use of new and innovative technology for improved productivity. To accelerate adoption of such technology, there is an urgent need to get the industry to be familiarised with some of the productive construction methodologies adopted overseas. One such example is the Innovative Prestressed Support (IPS) system. IPS system has been successfully developed by adopting prestressing technology, which expands the length of wale more than 20 times. It significantly improves main structure and excavation efficiency that reduces the cost and construction time. IPS system has also received many national awards such as Korea 10 Best New Technology. This workshop is to educate and share with the industry on the use of this new technology method so that its applications can be better understood.
