Practice of Professional Engineering Examination has been implemented for a number of years. Engineers find the scope of the subjects is very wide, often engineers do not know how to approach and prepare for the examination. This course is aim to assist Engineer in preparation of the Examination. Board view and the purposeful meaning of the examination will be discussed, the trainer will brief weakness and common mistakes made by candidates who responded to the exam questions. Upon completion of this seminar, each participant will understand the history and the design benefits of the mechanical grooved piping system, comprehend the advantages and sustainability of the implementing grooved piping in their system design, and understand how mechanical grooved piping facilitates simpler adaptation on modularization and prefabrication concepts for chilled and condenser water piping. The seminar will help participants understand the advantages of mechanical grooved piping on construction project executions by providing a simple installation procedure, from install to commissioning, a joining method that lasts the lifespan of the piping system.on completion of this seminar, each participant shall that lasts the lifespan of the piping system.PART 2: FIRE PROTECTION SPRINKLER PIPING SYSTEMSUpon completion of this seminar, each participant shall comprehend the revolution of Victaulic innovative solutions for fire protection pipe joining and fittings concepts; modularization of fire protection devices and valves with the Victaulic FireLock NXT (tm) Vic-Quick Riser (VQR) solution; and better understand the design, product selection and approval compliance in relation to flexible sprinkler drops and visual verification.

Supervision plays a crucial role in building and civil engineering works. The Eurocodes for structural design have been implemented on 1st April 2015 as the prescribed structural standard for meeting compliance with the Building Regulations in Singapore. Eurocodes are different from the past Codes of Practices. This course is organised to prepare stake-holders including building owners, developers, builders, specialist builders, architects, engineers, project managers and such supervisory personnel as Qualified Persons, Site Supervisors, Resident Engineers and Resident Technical Officers on the understanding of supervision of building and civil engineering works in accordance to Eurocodes.

Learners of this course will gain the knowledge and skills for fulfilling the roles of the construction Design for Safety Professional (DfS Professional) in accordance with the WSH (DfS) Regulations effective from 1 August 2016. Upon completion of this unit, Learners will have the skills and knowledge to function as a DfS Professional which purposes to: (1) Assist the Developer to identify and address means to eliminate or mitigate the risks inherent in the design of a construction project through conducting DfS review meetings and maintaining a DfS register so as to reduce the safety and health risks during the construction, maintenance / repair phase, and demolition of the building and structure; and (2)Coordinate the flow of the construction project safety and health risks information among the stakeholders from the design stage, to construction stage until the handover to the Developer for occupation and maintenance.The skill and knowledge learnt during this course are likely to be applied in the following activities: (1) Facilitate DfS Review Meeting that involves the relevant stakeholders to identify and address safety and health risks associated with construction project. (2) Maintain records of safety and health issues arising from the DfS Review Meeting and actions taken. (3) Coordinate the flow of relevant safety and health information among all stakeholders of a construction project at appropriate time.

Given the nature of most building and construction work, in particular increasingly its specialisation and the use of technically demanding and complex procedures, personnel such as designers, project managers, contractors, subcontractors and supervisory staff are all likely at serious risk of falling short and face with claims. This course is organised to prepare stake-holders including building owners, developers, builders, specialist builders, architects, engineers, project managers and such supervisory personnel as Qualified Persons, Site Supervisors, Resident Engineers and Resident Technical Officers on the understanding of liabilities and duties in regulatory, design, construction and supervision aspects of building and civil engineering works by glimpsing at some of the well-known decided cases.
