The Diploma in Facilities Management will equip students with a wide range of technical knowledge and functional skills to manage the built environment. The areas covered in the programme range from principles of facilities management, green building technology, energy management, event planning and marketing to business continuity. The focus of the programme will be on sustainable practices. Participants of the diploma programme will graduate as competent and confident associate professionals in the built environment industry.

The active push for Singapore buildings to be green has generated a strong demand for a new "green collar" workforce. This has created an urgent need for associate professionals with the knowledge and skills to apply the latest knowledge and skills to apply the latest knowledge in green building technology (GBT) and mechanical services to design, maintain and manage green buildings.The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Green Building Technology) builds on the core of a mechanical engineering programme with an emphasis on GBT. GBT increases the efficiency in the use of building resources such as energy, water and building materials while reducing the impact they have on human health and the environment.

The Awards aim to recognise built-environment professionals, consultants and builders for their achievements in improving productivity and promoting productivity in the industry. Closing date for nominations for CPA - Projects and CPA - Advocates is 31 Dec 2018.

Launched in 2011, the Build Smart Conference has been a key event, which is an industry-wide campaign to raise awareness in enhancing construction productivity. The theme for this year revolves around Unlocking Innovation through Digital Transformation focusing on technological advancement and best practices in Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD). The international and local experts will share on their experiences on topics such as application of digitisation through exemplary international and local IDD projects that enhance our construction productivity.

The Green and Gracious Builder Scheme (GGBS) was launched in February 2009 to raise the environmental consciousness and professionalism in builders. The GGBS small and medium construction (SMC) was introduced in April 2014 to encourage SMC firms to work in a smart and responsible manner. GGBS is also a benchmark of a builders corporate social responsibility to the environment and the general public. Apart from setting standards for green and gracious practices, it also helps to improve the image of the builders and the built environment sector.
